Laying Down Your Life

So today I have learned something new. I feel I am to share this experience with everyone. Maybe it will touch someone the way it did me. Before we landed in Kenya we spent time praying for God to provide for us a driver we could trust and who would interpret for us. We landed and once at our hotel we met a man named James. James is about 34 and has the sweetest spirit. I shared with Ken that I felt God's love for this man and we prayed how to be able to minister to him. The past 5 days we have gotten tho know James. He works hard. Loves GOD and his family. James shared with us he could not read. He never went past third grade in school. Started working when he was a young boy. He does know how to sign his name and that's it. James kept telling us how he wanted tho know GOD more. Today we have him an audio bible in his language. This young man was so ecstatic to hear God's word and said over and over for an hour how this was gonna change his life.

I cried as I listened too him. God began to speak to me. How many people have bibles...How many of us can read but makes excuses on why we don't have the time..And here was this man who was over joyed to hear the word because he couldn't read. Missions has changed my life! I can see how much I take for granted still. I felt so convicted today.

God asked me what He ment to me and what I was willing to give up for him a few weeks ago. My answer is everything I am and have. If I have to spend the rest of my life living in the mud, no water, no comforts of home...It is so worth every minute of it because He deserves that and more.

Regardless what the church may think...the whole world has not heard...they do not know...and they need US to be God's vessels of love to show them Jesus. I learn more about myself every time I go out into the unreached world!!

So the question I leave you with is what are you willing to give up for HIS lost people? To what extent are you willing to be used?
